CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Sept. 25, 2016) – Mount Mercy University has cancelled all classes for Monday, Sept. 26, and Tuesday, Sept. 27. Further cancellations, if necessary, will be announced Monday.
At this time classes are expected to resume a normal schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
The two-day cancellation will limit student, faculty and staff impact on local road ways, as requested by public safety officials. It will also allow volunteers extra time to assist with flood response in Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities.
Mount Mercy’s campus is still open and all residential students are safe and secure. All major utilities remain intact, only limited disruptions to the class schedule is expected.
