Lowe Park Gallery Displays Mount Mercy Art

For the third year in a row, the Marion Arts Council is sponsoring an exhibit of artwork by Mount Mercy University and Cornell College art students at the Lowe Park Gallery, Lowe Park Arts and Environment Center, 4500 North 10th Street in Marion, Iowa.

The exhibit opened January 30 and will be on display through February 27. An opening reception will be held Tuesday, February 10 from 6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Lowe Park Gallery hours are: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m., and the first Saturday of the month, 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

The exhibit includes the artwork of 18 Mount Mercy students:

Meghan Ryan
Alyssa Vicente
Leslie Hoffmann
Mariah Kidd
Randah Espy
Dilip Reshmi
Cameron Wood
Dana Njenga
Colin Fruetel
Kate Till
Anna Bohr
Jacob Herndon
Andre Vicuna
Gabriel Acosta
Abby Manternach
Abby Martin

Janie Mills, Campus Store manager, also has art on display.

The exhibit shows some of the best works from students in Mount Mercy art classes and includes a wide range of media and techniques: graphic design, drawings, paintings, hand-made books, prints, photographs, ceramics and sculpture.
