Joy Ochs, professor of English and honors program director, has been granted a Mellon Fellowship and will travel to India in June 2014 to attend the ASIANetwork Faculty Enhancement Program (ANFEP).
The three-week seminar and field study will examine rapid globalization, environmental threats, and cultural responses in the Indian cities of Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
ASIANetwork is a consortium of North American colleges working to strengthen Asian studies within liberal arts.
Ochs looks forward to incorporating her learnings at Mount Mercy.
