Mount Mercy University has named Nathan Stucky director of human resources. Stucky was previously employed as the human resources director for the City of Marshalltown in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Stucky brings over 10 years of human resources experience to his position. He has also served as the human resource manager for Grundy County Memorial Hospital, the human resource manager at Hy-Vee, Inc, and currently serves as the personnel manager for Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where he is also a participating musician. Stucky holds three bachelor’s degrees in business management, human resources, and music from University of Northern Iowa.
As director of human resources for Mount Mercy, Stucky will lead all personnel functions including recruitment, training, and employee development; record keeping, salary administration, and employee evaluations, as well as human resource policy management.
Stucky is a member of Iowa Public Employers Labor Relations Association (IAPELRA), National Public Employers Labor Relations Association (NPELRA), and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is in the process of earning certification as a NPELRA certified labor relations professional.
